I just read an article where the author called this girl a “trash-pop Lolita,” and I literally jumped up and down and then kicked myself in the FACE for not coining that term because it is the most perfect definition. Ever. Sky Ferreira is a 17-year-old songstress who scored a MAJOR record deal this summer and has this awesome “I’m a complete bad ass with the voice of a sultry goddess” voice that makes you want to hear every thing that she’s ever sung. If this is not the most awesome cover of a Beatles song you’ve heard in a while (yes, I realize that’s a stretch but I WENT THERE) then I dare you to come over here and fight me. It samples Dr. Dre. I mean… bonus points for uber creativity and kick ass vocals. Looking forward to seeing what she will give us in the (hopefully near) future. ENJOY.
